Melo on the move to….

Should Celtics Take a chance and trade for Melo?? What team should he go to?

Should Celtics Take a chance and trade for Melo?

It is clear the the Knicks are actively shopping Melo, as they should be. They are sitting outside the playoff picture and not playing good basketball. Melo’s ball dominant offense game may be stunting the growth of future all-star Porzingis. All that is left to question is, what team should take a chance and trade for him? Will anyone take a chance and trade for him? As of now the top contenders for landing this perennial all-star are the Clippers and the Cavaliers. Clippers would not have to give up any of their “big names” they are still reluctant to give up knock down shooter JJ Redick. I personally think would be terrible decision to make this trade for the Clippers. Then again what do they have to lose because they won’t beat the Warriors with their current roster. Cleveland would have to give up Love to get Melo. That is crazy and I don’t think there is any chance that will happen. Don’t sleep on Danny Ainge pulling off a blockbuster and landing the all-star. I for one, think if he is going anywhere this year he will end up in Celtic Green.

  1. Personally, I would hate to see the Celtics trade for Carmelo. He’s not exactly the best team player and I don’t see him and Thomas playing well together. They’re better off making a smaller move and waiting until the draft to get their next all=star.

    • I agree that Melo is not a team player and might not work with Thomas. I honestly don’t like Melo at all. The way I look at it is the Celtics wouldn’t have to give up much. Cavaliers are dealing with some injuries this year so I think they are beatable. I do not think the Celtics can beat them with current roster. Plus Bradley is battling an Achilles injury so who knows what will happen with him. If Celtics don’t have to give up much it’s worth a shot. I agree with you though. he is not a team player and is on the decline.
